McLeod Gang is a popular backpacking destination. It is the home of the Dali Lama. There are English language lectures on Buddhism almost every day.
There is also a 10 day course in Buddhism in one of the surrounding hill towns. McLeod Gang is located in the mountains above Dharmsala. To get there from Delhi you must
take a train to Pathankot then take a taxi to McLeod Gang. Another option is to go through Amritsar to see the Golden Temple, then share a taxi to McLeod Gang.
